Folks, finally you can now listen to clips from my debut album, Dreams Rising, here! Go to the music page and listen to clips of the tracks we recorded almost a year ago in Rio da Janerio, Brazil.  2013 was an amazing year and I am delighted that Dreams Rising is now available to buy from this website , itunes and Amazon. 

Studying in Rio and recording Dreams Rising last year was one of the best things I have ever done. It was a year of great learning and progression, not only professionally but also personally. I made friends for life and cherish the time I spent with them. I will always be grateful to my professor, Cristina Braga who taught me so much, not just about music, but also about life. She  is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met and her dedication and passion for creating music on the harp continues to inspire me. I hope that there will be more opportunities to return to Brazil and soak in and perform the wonderful music that oozes out of its soul. 

Album in production....hurrah!

Well folks....the album is now finished and now I'm learning how to put it all together so that you can all buy a copy!  There is never a dull moment when it comes to learning about this process for the first time. I can't wait to actually have a copy of it in my hands. You will be able to get a copy either through my website, or through Amazon or itunes....will keep you posted!

I did my first live gig since coming back from Brazil at the weekend in Wales and it was fun. I'd forgotten how much I love performing live. Afterwards, a gentleman with one drum sat down beside me and off we went, jamming. It was so much fun and I found the buzz that I'd missed...we had a great time and I think others did too as some started to dance, good times. 

Album almost ready!

Well, this has been a good week.....I was working with my producer this week and we finished off the album.....hurrah! Its finally been finished and I am happy and relieved its completed. Its been a really interesting process and I've loved working with the producer Patrick Allen. Its a fascinating process and I've learnt to listen a lot more deeply, and found I've noticed sounds that I never would have noticed before. Also, I've been struck by the amazing technology ...there is so much you can do with it...its way beyond me....I'll stick to playing!

Now I've just got to get the artwork sorted and upload it onto Itunes and Amazon and do a concert......and then you can all listen to it! Hurrah.

Getting closer to launching my first Album!

2013 was an amazing year for me musically as I had the opportunity to study in Rio de Janerio for seven months at the Federal University. I had a fantastic time studying with Cristina Braga who is the professor there. I learnt more about playing Jazz and Bossa Nova and was able to record some tracks for my album with a drummer and singer.

I am very excited to let you all know that I am getting closer to releasing it! It's all a new learning process for me as I've never recorded my own album before!

It's been wonderful to work with a variety of people, Brazilians to Londoners, all who have been very patient and have given me good advice!
